Care Guide

Preserve the beauty and elegance of your Pashmkash pieces with our curated care guide. Discover the best way to care for each one.

Cashmere

Dry clean only to preserve the softness, structure, and natural fibres of the fabric. Avoid frequent washing, as cashmere is naturally self-refreshing when aired properly. Store folded rather than hung to prevent stretching, and keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For long-term storage, use a breathable garment bag and natural moth protection such as cedar or lavender.

Wool

Dry clean is recommended to maintain the integrity and shape of the weave. If the garment needs refreshing between wears, simply air it out in a well-ventilated space. Always store wool pieces folded, never hung, to avoid distortion. Protect from moisture and moths by storing in a dry environment with natural repellents if possible.

Silk Modal

Hand wash gently in cold water or opt for dry cleaning for best care. If washing at home, use a mild detergent and handle with care. Do not soak for extended periods. Avoid wringing, twisting, or harsh scrubbing. After washing, gently press out excess water and dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight to preserve texture and colour.

Kurti / Kaftan (Dark Colours)

Hand wash gently in cold water. Submerge the garment briefly, allowing it to clean naturally without aggressive handling. Rinse thoroughly and avoid any squeezing or twisting of the fabric. To maintain colour richness, always dry in shade and avoid exposure to strong sunlight, which may cause fading over time. Iron on low heat if needed, preferably on the reverse side.

Kurti / Kaftan (Light Colours)

Dry clean is recommended to maintain brightness, structure, and finish of the fabric. This helps preserve the delicate tone and prevents any risk of discoloration. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
